I have had the opportunity to meet the most amazing and brave kids through my time at Kids Cancer Care. These families inspire me every day. I am also inspired by the team around me and the volunteers that donate countless hours to our cause.
I am privileged to oversee Kids Cancer Care’s amazing community and signature events team. I am also responsible for signature event sponsorship. Our team’s goal is to raise vital funds and awareness for the foundation through our events.
Over the course of a year, Kids Cancer Care coordinates between 100 –140 community fundraising events. We also host our own signature events including: Parents’ Quest for the Cure gala, Dad & Daughter Gala, Don, Joanne and the Coach Golf a Kid to Camp, Ride for a Lifetime and the High Hopes Challenge along with our year-round Shave your Lid for a Kid program. Our community and signature events would not be possible without the amazing support of our foundation volunteers, families and sponsors.
Some of my day to day tasks include: networking with potential partners, creating sponsorship packages, supporting current community initiatives, acting as a Kid’s Cancer Care spokesperson, tracking donations, leading the events team and stewarding donors.
1) What’s your camp name?
2) Dogs or cats?
I like both, but whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never had a dog.
3) What’s something on your bucket list?
Traveling is one of my biggest passions. I have been fortunate to see many amazing countries. However, there are still so many places to see. At the moment, going to Greece is at the top of my bucket list.
