At just two and a half years old, Artem’s childhood changed when he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumour. After three years of surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and three bone marrow transplants, his family arrived in Canada. Cancer-free but facing a new language, anxiety and his first experience of school at age six, Artem needed support to find his place and rebuild his confidence. Because of you, he didn’t have to do it alone. Your support helped Artem take his first steps into the classroom, giving him the confidence to learn, belong and reclaim the childhood cancer interrupted. CANCER IN THE CLASSROOM

Cancer in the Classroom helps children with cancer feel supported and understood at school. Through age-appropriate presentations, we answer questions, clear up misconceptions and help classmates understand what cancer can look like.

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE!
